Love For Sale is an Indonesian film which was directed by Andibachtiar Yusuf and released in 2018. The film explores a single man who is challenged by his friends to bring a partner to his friend’s wedding. He then searches for casual companionship for the wedding on a dating app ‘Love Incorporated’.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the live screening of the film and this made it quite hard to live tweet as I was not able to connect with other students whilst viewing the film the following day. One of the main observations I made whilst watching the film was the stereotyped gender roles prevalent between Richard and Arini’s companionship.
