The ‘Digital Asia’ course so far… interesting is undeniably the correct word for it. From the screenings and topical discussions we have shared during class, I can assure you that for me, it’s not the most interested I’ve been, honestly not completely interested at all. This was until the commenting component of the previous assessment occurred.

Commenting on fellow classmate Millie’s blog post, started developing my interest and curiosity into a completely distinct topic, one that I knew about but not to the extent of a global phenomenon; the influence of Japanese pop culture on global fashion. With fashion being of utmost interest to me with hopes of a future career in the industry, this topic could not interest me more, finally a subsection of Digital Asia that I can thoroughly engage with.
