Let’s talk about Webtoons. In light of the fact that one of my subjects this year introduced me to Webtoons, it is only fitting that I pass on some of the knowledge I learned about them from said subject (BCM 322- Global Media Interventions). On the surface Webtoons look just like a comic which they most definitely are; however that is not all, Webtoons are a creative innovation in the new digital economy we find ourselves in, they are a remarkable new form of media ecosystem transferring Asian culture and creating new media cultures throughout the world both online and offline (UOW, 2018).
