The Traditional Relationship

When watching Little Black Dress, I found myself, at the time, going into the viewing not expect much, not only because it looked like a tacky romantic comedy, but a tacky romantic comedy that wasn’t in English, and therefore I would be reading English subtitles the entire movie. This just comes from my pure laziness (not wanting to read subtitles) and my experience with most Romantic Comedies.

I initially chose to watch a romantic comedy as I thought that topic I wanted to focus on – gender roles – but found myself coming out with a whole different perspective that I wanted to focus on in Asian films – the portrayal of relationships.
